Assumption and Assertion

"Pretty Girls are wayward" "Blacks are ignorant and loud" "Pastors are swindlers" "Men are scumbags" The list is always endless in the thesis of assumption. However, due to the shallow nature of assumption as a form of information gathering and dissemination, making assertions by assumption is a lazy form of education and speaks of a weak character. All humans are tempted to be spontaneous in judgement but maturity waits to analyze before concluding on a matter. Assumption goes straight to conclusion and recommendation, leaving out the core and crux of research methodology. It is said that assumption is the weakest and lowest form of knowledge, and I dare to say that a lazy person is one who hinge his/her assertions and form ideologies based on assumptions. THE BOY THE MAN

The sun smooched the earth with sheepish smiles A boy clad in singlet and pant (that boy was me) stooped on 4 lafiagi street scooping puddles of water. Completely tucked in my boyish parlance; I didn't care who bathe an eyelid; I was about "my work". The splashes, my giggles cooings and monologues had drowned the honking horn.
